PC Sideloaders

Desktop applications that sideload Quest content to your headset. For sideloaders that come bundled with a game library, see Quest Standalone Sources.

    • Rookie (Official) [Windows Only] — The original sideloading tool. Requires a server; see the public JSON page for setup. Download.

    • LFI Sideloader [Multi-OS] — Lightweight APK/OBB sideloader built in Python; works anywhere Python runs. GitHub.

    • Quest File Transfer (QFT) [Multi-OS] — Dual-pane file manager for manual transfer, Python-based. GitHub.

      WebLoaders

      Browser-based tools that sideload or manage the Quest through WebUSB. Requires a supported browser such as Chrome, Edge, Opera, or Brave.

    • Quest Webloader — Browser-based sideloading tool for Quest. Website.

    • QuestLoad — Simple browser-based sideloading utility. Website.

    • Web ADB Menu — A web-based ADB tool for Meta Quest. Does much more than sideloading, including various Quest performance settings. GitHub.

      • Note: These will not work in Firefox or Safari because those browsers do not support WebUSB.

      Native Quest Tools

      Applications that run directly on the headset without a PC companion app.

    • Evolve Launcher [Quest Native] — Native launcher replacement focused on customization, organization, and improved library management. GitHub.

    • Lightning Launcher [Quest Native] — Lightweight custom launcher with better organization, shortcuts, categories, and cleaner navigation than the stock Meta launcher. GitHub.

    • Quest Games Optimizer (QGO) [Quest Native] — Performance and visual tuning utility; change resolution, refresh rate, GPU/CPU profiles, and more. Website.

    • CX File Explorer [Quest Native] — Android file manager for browsing local storage, managing APKs, and handling headset files on-device. Also supports FTP and other network logins, handy for sites like 3DFlickFix.net. Play Store or APKMirror.

    Note: Most native Quest tools require Developer Mode enabled for installation or advanced functionality.

    General Standalone Tools

      • Quest Game Patcher [Windows Only] — Patches standalone Quest games to bypass firmware version checks so they run without forced headset updates. The original GitHub release was taken down; an info thread and mirror are available. Reddit thread · Download.

      • Quest APK Renamer [Multi-OS] — A desktop utility that renames Quest APK package names for easier app management and conflict avoidance, with a simple drag-and-drop workflow. GitHub.

      PCVR Tools

        • ARMGDDN — High-speed PC/PCVR content hub. Beta Website [Multi-OS] · ARMGDDN Browser [Windows Only]. See PCVR Sources for more.

        • ARMGDDN VD BATMaker — A Batmaker to launch games correctly for Virtual Desktop owners. It launches the VD Streamer PC app against the game’s exe, along with arguments when needed. This is for games sourced outside of the ARMGDDN Browser. Those already come with a VD.bat. Simply drag the games exe onto the batmaker exe and follow the prompts. GitHub Download
